Ben, the founder of Sensi, began in the industry in the 60s. He opened a clothes shop and sold homemade clothes, before regular trips to Asia and the Middle East. He became aware of hemp and its flexibility with textiles and knew that there was so much more the plant had to offer.

His new passion was collecting cannabis seeds along his travels and bringing these genetics back to Holland. Back home, he began experimenting with them to learn more about how these strains breed with each other.

As the 80s began, hybrids like Skunk and Haze entered the market in Europe from American breeders. Ben was only one of a handful of cultivators who got access to these hybrids, and these became a blueprint for Sensi.

At the start of the 1980s, the first examples of innovative, stabilized hybrids, such as Haze and Skunk, arrived in Europe from the United States. Ben was one of a mere three Dutch cultivators who were granted access to these hybrids, which are considered an important blueprint for the development of European hybrids.

Sensi Seeds search for cannabis genetics has not stopped in the last 35 years. Their passion on genetic preservation has also never gotten weaker.
